Well we all know that the Fantastic Four movie was ripped apart by critics and fans alike. But as a fan of the comic and comics in general my review will be more on the execution of the film not executing it.
First it was very bland and dull there was no interest invested in these beloved characters. I didn’t really feel their pain.. I felt bad for Thing being naked .. It’s like they gave him the name because someone said “hey where’s your thing!?” I would be mad too. The others were flat doom was a whiny moody man child, the others were just boring.
DOOM was doomed from the start he was underestimated as a character/villain he looked like the villain from the 90s lost in space.
He was more like a monster of the week then the all mighty doom!
Now getting to the 90s monster of the week .. I grew up in the nineties where comic films and television shows were far and few .. I felt like the theatre chair was a time machine and I was brought back to that era,but not in a good way. It felt like the studio didn’t care about the characters or the comics.. Like the movies of old … And it felt like an old comic TV show .. Def not Daredevil of now. I felt like I was 15 again rolling my eyes and feeling like why!? A movie is supposed to take you away from your seat take you away from the now and for two hours be emotionally and mentally involved. Not this movie I felt like I was trapped and I knew I was in the movie theater. I hope this makes movie companies and directors think twice before underestimating the properties … It’s not the 90s anymore get with the hype or get left making 30mill in three days… Now with that said The DEADPOOL trailer was even better on the big screen to bad it wasn’t t the red band trailer. I CANT WAIT!!!!!
